ANOTHER BIG NIGHT AT ANDERSONPosted by dillon in dillon welch |

I raced at Anderson Friday night and had another great night. I qualified with the fast time at a 12.729. So, as the fastest qualifier I got to start on the pole in the heat race, which I won. In the feature, I again got to start first and led the whole way for win number 3 this year. The only real drama came when I almost wrecked with a lapped car again (the same one as last race) but thankfully we both held on and I was able to move on my way.
So in 4 races at Anderson I've had "fast time" all 4 times, won three and finished runner-up once. Not bad...
Anderson is also the most convenient track for our family and friends to visit. Bob Jacobs, his son Daniel, and Bob's dad Steve all came; as did Pastor Dan Schumm from church, and my mamaw & papaw. I really appreciate everyone's support.
I also got an awesome oppurtunity to test Tracy Hines's national midget this past Wednesday. The national midget is the same size car as my Kenyon midget, but the national car has about twice the horsepower. So that right there made it a lot of fun and I really appreciate Tracy giving me the opportunity.
We've got a little break before my next race which is July 10th at Anderson. The race scheduled for Wednesday, June 24 at Illiana has been cancelled.
Thanks for checking in, and I hope to see you at the track!
